CURTIS ROY MOORE

Based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, singer, songwriter & storyteller Curtis Roy Moore’s unique voice infuses, Americana, folk, country, and blues creating a unique experience full of stories from his life that will make you laugh and cry.

Curtis was just in the studio and his debut album; Broken Promises & Bad Decisions will be released in early summer 2024.

In 2023, Curtis performed 200 shows and logged over 40,000 miles Crisscrossing the State of Washington.  

When Curtis isn’t performing solo, he fronts his band, Curtis Roy Moore & the Stone Blind Horses.

Background

Born in Pensacola, Florida the son of a Navy Chief he has traveled and lived in several countries. Has worked as a crab fisherman in Alaska, shrimper in Florida and in heavy civil construction in Northern Canada and the US.

He began playing guitar when he was in elementary school in Belgium when his father bought him his first guitar in 1972. After living in Europe his family moved to the family home in Leavenworth, Washington where he was active in several music projects.

From the bars of Key West, Florida in the 80’s to the coast of Canada where he was a founding member of the well-known rock and roll band, Pacific Disturbance which played all over British Columbia and Alberta. While with Pacific Disturbance, he had the pleasure of playing with Canadian icon, Jerry Doucette and Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward.

His first two musical influences were from a sailor in Europe who turned him on to what’s known as classic country and from a soldier from Scotland who taught him how to rock and roll.

His major musical influences come from many artists, mainly Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jimmy Buffett, John Prine, Jason Isbell, John Hiatt, Jerry Jeff Walker, Guy Clark, Todd Snider, Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt and all things Americana.

Today Curtis Roy Moore has developed into a powerhouse solo performer and a masterful front man to engage audiences with his authentic love of his craft. Spreading his love of music through his songs, performance, and his heartfelt connection with the audience. Once you have heard and seen Curtis Roy Moore, you will never forget him. His drive, enthusiasm and desire make him musical force and an artist you won’t want to miss. Curtis also plays with his band Curtis Moore and the Stone blind horses, comprised of 5 Full-time working musicians, Nate Weakley, Eric Link, Owen Barnhart and steve clem.
